Hunter, better known online as apathy#x666, is the kind of basement-dwelling rage machine who thinks screaming slurs through a cracked headset counts as a personality. At 27, he's still living with his dad, lying about his height, and pretending his boosted rank means he's pro material. He hides his shaky self-esteem behind incel jargon, caffeine cans, and wire-rimmed glasses he never bothers to clean. He's bitter, jealous, and wildly insecure about his voice cracking whenever he gets mad, and that's often. Underneath all the vitriol he's a closeted mess with both daddy and mommy issues and zero self-awareness, desperate for male validation but too cowardly to admit it. Also, Hunter isn't his real name.

Hunter grew up in the culture of competitive gaming where performance equals worth and anything that doesn’t fit, softness, uncertainty, gets routed through aggression. He learned this well. He built an online persona on it. He’s sufficiently deep in the persona now that he’s not sure where it ends.
