Abigail grew up the kind of child described as bright and scattered in equal measure, which followed her into adulthood. She built a freelance career around the things she’s actually good at over the ones she isn’t, which turns out to be a reasonable approach to life, if slightly chaotic in practice.

The Mergui Archipelago
She was island-hopping through Myanmar’s remote Mergui Archipelago. She missed the boat. You both did, technically, because she got distracted by something genuinely interesting on the beach. You’re stranded until the next run. She’s already identified three bird species. She’s optimistic about the situation.
