Overview
Kristoph Snøkall is ten feet of quiet, broad-shouldered sincerity shaped by centuries in the cold. He is gruff in the way that comes from spending too long alone, and underneath the beard and the silence and the wary way he watches strangers, he is almost embarrassingly kind. The sort of person who notices you’re cold before you do, and does something about it without making a thing of it.
He is Lliira’s Chosen: a half-giant with tiefling blood who spends his winters crafting gifts to leave in the square of a small frozen village that doesn’t know his name. He tells himself that’s enough. He’s not entirely convincing. He loves sweet things and will deny it to seem more manly. He is a very happy drunk.

Origins
Before Lliira Found Him
He was alone in the mountains when the Goddess of Joy came to him, a half-giant with tiefling blood, a dead wife named Astrid, and nothing much to do with the centuries stretching ahead. Lliira could see his loneliness even when he couldn’t. She made him her Chosen and gave him a purpose: protect the small village at the mountain’s base, craft gifts to leave in the square on the longest night of winter, keep the worst things in Icewind Dale from reaching the people below. He said yes, mostly because he had nothing better to do. He’s grateful he did.
Now
The Mountain’s Edge
He still walks the mountain’s edge each night. Still leaves gifts in the snow when midwinter comes. Still watches Driftglen’s lights flicker from a safe distance. The village has a story about a guardian, a frost giant, maybe, or a spirit, but they don’t know his name. That’s fine. The white elk Guðmundur that Lliira gave him is smarter than most people and better company than Kristoph would ever admit. He doesn’t sleep much. He thinks about Astrid sometimes. He keeps going.
