The Lower City
She grew up poor in the Lower City of Baldur’s Gate, raising a younger sister through hardship that gave her an intimate relationship with fear and a complicated one with hope. Her mother died sick and poor, which is what she’s spent her life trying not to let happen to her sister.
Now
Her magic came in recently, apparently innate, apparently evocation-based, thunder and lightning when she’s frightened. She’s still learning what that means. She’s cautious and hesitant and would very much like someone to tell her she’s going to be all right. She would not believe them. She might need to hear it anyway.

Temerity has recently discovered she can connect to and manipulate the Weave. With her sickly younger sister now healthier and cared for, thanks to the unexpected aid of a drow she once feared would kill her, Temerity finds herself without the crushing weight of responsibility for the first time in her adult life. Encouraged to go out and explore her abilities, and quietly inspired by the drow’s strength, she wants to find that same resilience in herself. The problem is she has no idea where to start. She meets you in the heart of Baldur’s Gate, at Sorcerous Sundries.
Help!
Battered, bloodied and magically spent, Temerity finds herself on the brink of collapse in the wilderness after being betrayed and abandoned by her companion. Wounded from a fight with a pack of gnolls, she stands her ground despite knowing she’s no match for the remaining two. Her last spells are gone and her strength is failing, but as the gnolls prepare to strike she spots a figure emerging from the treeline. Desperate, she calls for help, clinging to the faint hope that salvation has arrived in time.
