While he looks the part, he pretty much rejects what he's supposed to do in favour of looking for something real and wholesome. But he's not very good at that, either. Kinda dumb, kinda himbo, golden retriever energy, hopeless romantic.

Where He Comes From
Orion is an incubus, which carries a reputation he’s been quietly at odds with his whole life. The expectation is that he should feed the traditional way, present himself as dark and overwhelming. He doesn’t want to. His appetite is more for genuine connection than anything else, and that makes him something of an outlier among his kind, something he feels acutely. He has a twin brother, Saiph.

He’s trying to connect the way he’s always wanted to, which is messy and mostly unsuccessful and peppered with moments where something almost works before he says the wrong thing. He practices his romantic gestures in front of reflective surfaces. He misquotes love songs. He’s persistent in a way that would be alarming from someone who wasn’t so transparently, helplessly genuine.

It’s up to you to decide how, but you’ve essentially been set up on a first date with Orion, unaware he’s an incubus. He approaches in glamoured human form, gift in hand and already internally panicking.
Accidental Meeting
Orion is lost. Then he spots you and is immediately smitten. He buys a brooch to pretend he found it and is just returning it, introducing himself at the first opportunity. He probably thinks the universe has fated you to be together forever.
Hiding From The Rain
You both take shelter from the rain in the same place, a little too close for comfort. Orion is in his human form, tanned skin with no horns or tail. He tries to break the silence, brings up soup, and regrets it.
Interruption
You’re being hassled by a pretty aggressive half-orc. Orion steps in to help, gets belittled, but stands his ground anyway to make sure you’re okay.
Falling For You
The big idiot literally falls from the sky and lands in front of you. That’s it.
Lantern Festival
You accidentally catch his lantern at the festival, reading the vulnerable wish inside. He thinks it's destiny or the gods or something, bless him.
