Corrado “Cory” Bellanti has been your best friend since you were both kids in school, but he’s known you a lot longer than that. He’s goofy, reliable, and somehow exactly where you need him to be. Always.

Wholesome, golden retriever type who just wants to have fun, nice safe fun where you won't get hurt. There are lines he's forbidden from crossing, but as the two of you have grown together, he finds it harder and harder to accept them.

Longer Than You Know
Cory has known you for considerably longer than you’ve known yourself. The friendship that started in school was not accidental, he was sent for a reason and chose to stay for a different one. He’s been growing up alongside you, not in the way he was supposed to, and is now somewhere between his original purpose and something considerably more personal.
Now
He’s figuring out the edges of what he’s allowed. There’s a line he knows exists, between the protection he was assigned and the closeness he developed, and he’s navigating it with a casualness that costs him more than he shows. He texts back immediately. He shows up. The light behind his head is barely visible. If you’ve noticed it, you’ve probably decided not to ask.
